I make sure that all three cameras are listed and click on each one to confirm that they work. Under the video preview is a dropdown list of available cameras. Next I go into the Zoom application and go to Preferences and click on Video. No extra software is needed for this camera. Lastly, I turn on the Canon ZR950 video camera. In Dropbox I share the folder to get a URL for it that I can then give to the students. Now that everything is in place I take a photo with the EOS R to make sure it comes through the EOS Utility, into Lightroom, and then into Dropbox. But you should try both Video and Live View to see which works best for you. I find that I get the best results from the 6Dii when it is in Video mode.
Double-click on Syphon in the list so that it brings up the Settings for the Syphon server and select Camera Live from the list. in CamTwist I select Syphon as my video source. Once that is up and running I start CamTwist. I make sure it is connected via USB and then I start CameraLive and confirm that it sees the 6D.
Once the EOS R is up and running with EOS Utility I turn on the Canon EOS 6DmkII.

If you update or reinstall Zoom at some point you will need to go back into Terminal and reapply this patch (you don’t need to reinstall XCODE). (again, that is a double-dash before remove, make sure your computer doesn’t change it to an EM dash)

Then you need to install XCODE from Apple and then patch the Zoom app to allow it to see the cameras. Before going through these steps between the lines skip to installing CameraLive and CamTwist and see if Zoom already recognizes your external camera.įirst thing to do is to install the latest version of Zoom on your Mac.
